Our Favourite WA Beach Fishing Locations
What’s not to love about beach fishing? We are so lucky to live here in Western Australia, where we have over 20,000 kilometres of coastline. Our state is an angler’s paradise!
Here at Friday’s Jetskis, we are passionate about all kinds of water sports, especially beach and jet ski fishing. Beach fishing has been an Aussie favourite for years, so we thought we’d highlight our top three favourite beaching fishing spots in WA.

Dunsborough
Around 3 hours south of Perth, Dunsborough is a WA favourite for a down south break. Between Busselton and Margaret River, Dunsborough offers plenty of options for fishing and water sports. Located in the beautiful Geographe Bay, the shoreline offers multiple fishing spots.
Autumn is a fantastic time to hitch the jet ski trailer up and head down south for a weekend of fishing as there is plenty of salmon running. Other great spots in the area are Meelup Beach, Bunker Bay, and Eagle Bay Beach.
Jurien Bay
Located just over 2 hours north of Perth, Jurien Bay offers a range of fabulous adventure and fishing opportunities. Perfect for beach and deep-sea fishing, skydiving, surfing, water skiing, jet ski fishing, snorkelling, and sandboarding, make a plan to stay for a few days.
Cast off the beach for fishing and crabbing. Enjoy the view from the jetty (and do a few bombies off there too). Ensure you check the local information for where you can and can’t fish as the Marine Park has special rules that apply to some zones.
Shark Bay
If you haven’t been to Shark Bay before, you’re missing out. This gorgeous beach, approximately 8.5 hours north of Perth, is World Heritage-listed as a place of outstanding natural beauty. Whether you plan to spend the day beach fishing or a day out fishing from your Sea-Doo jet ski, it’s essential to learn where you can and can’t cast a line. We want you to have a fantastic day of fishing and not have to worry about catching a hefty fine. So be prepared and do some research into the sanctuary cones, what the fishing rules are, and where you’re likely to catch the best fish!
