Ride 2 Rotto for Motor Neurone Disease – Sat 6 Feb 2016 – 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Book your tickets now for a once in a lifetime Ride to Rottnest!
Ever wanted to ride a jetski to Rottnest Island? Well, here’s your chance! Register Now to take part in our fantastic Ride to Rottnest charity event! Tickets are limited and will sell fast – so make sure you book your ticket NOW!
This is a unique opportunity to ride your jet ski to Rottnest Island, something that is not currently permitted, and so an opportunity that you just can’t miss! Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA (MNDAWA). We’ve been lucky enough to be granted approval by Department of Transport, Fremantle Port Authorities and Rottnest Island Authority, to hold this event. We are aiming to not only raise much needed funds for the MNDAWA, but to also raise awareness of this debilitating disease.
The ride will leave Woodman Point Recreation Reserve early in the morning, with a small break on Rottnest Island, before riders turn around and come back. Upon return, we will be hosting a BBQ for riders and their families.
We need YOU to make this happen! Plus it’s going to be a LOT of FUN!
As a safety requirement of the Department of Transport, all PWCs must have the following safety items to be able to participate in the ‘Friday’s Jetski Ride to Rotto for Motor Neurone Disease’. If you do not have them, you can hire them from Friday’s Jetskis for a fee of $30 for the day.
- PFD1 life vest must be worn;
- In-shore flares (in-date) must be carried on board your jetski
As a requirement of Department of Transport you must also hold a Recreational Skippers Ticket and you will be required to carry it on the ride. You must also ride a registered Personal Water Craft (PWC).
To make fundraising for us even easier, we’ve partnered with Everyday Hero to give you the ability to create your own online fundraising page. In just minutes you can build and customise your page, then start sharing the link with your friends, family and colleagues, asking them to make a donation.
Every donation is then recorded on your fundraising page along with a message of support from your donors. So what are you waiting for? Create your own online fundraising page today, and thank you for your support!
If you would like to register as a volunteer, or have a boat that you would like to use as a support vessel, please contact Friday’s on 08 9524 5858. Please note that one person per support vessel can attend the ride and BBQ free of charge, additional people will be required to register if they would like to attend the BBQ after the ride.
